Finance Division

Budget Division of Ministry of Home Affairs administers eleven (11) grants of Union Government dealing with a wide range of organizations. Two (02) of these grants are directly controlled by the Ministry and deal with expenditure related to Ministry’s Secretariat, Registrar General of India for Census activities, Police Organisations under the Ministry, Police Infrastructure, Border Management, Vibrant Villages Programme, Modernization of Police Force, Security Related Expenditure for Jammu & Kashmir, Left Wing Extremism and North Eastern Areas, Inter Operable Criminal Justice System, Women’s Safety, Support of Poor Prisoners, Disaster Management, Freedom Fighters Pension, Relief & Rehabilitation Programs, Immigration Visa Foreigners Registration & Tracking, etc. Besides, there are five grants, which account for expenditure incurred by five (05) Union Territories without Legislature and three (03) grants relate to Transfers to UTs with Legislature. Also, for the allocation related to Cabinet there is a separate grant.
