Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar
Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar is an Indian politician and is currently discharging his duties as Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India. He is a Member of the Lok Sabha, representing the Karimnagar constituency. This is his second term as a Member of Parliament.
He served as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana from March 11, 2020 to July 4, 2023. He is a member of the Board of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar. He is also a National General Secretary of BJP since 29 July 2023.
Early life and Education
Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar was born on 11 July 1971 to Shri B. Narsaiaha and Smt. B. Shakunthala. He completed his secondary schooling at Sri Saraswathi Shishumandir Unnata Paathashaala, Karimnagar, in 1986. He completed M.A. in Public Administration from Madurai Kamraj University. He was an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a youth, joining the organization at the age of twelve. On 31st May, 2002, he married to Smt. Chitla Aparna and they are blessed with two sons.
Political Career
He was actively involved with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), eventually became town convenor and a State Executive Member. He also occupied various leadership positions in BJYM, becoming Town Secretary, Town President, State Vice-President, National Secretary and incharge of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He served as the BJP Town President of Karimnagar and as the State Spokesperson of Telangana. In 1996, during BJP leader Shri L.K. Advani's Surat Rath Yatra, he campaigned across India for 35 days.
He was elected as a Municipal Corporator for Karimnagar's 48th Division in 2005, and served in this role until his resignation in 2019, when he was elected to the Lok Sabha.
He served as a Member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs from September 13, 2019.
He was a Member of the Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs since July 31, 2019 onwards.
He was Member, Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes in May, 2019
He was elected as Member of Parliament to 17th Lok Sabha.
In the 2019 General Elections, he was fielded by the BJP from the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency. With his election to the Lok Sabha, he became one of four Bharatiya Janata Party MPs from Telangana, making a historic first for the party.
He was State President of BJP in Telangana from March 11, 2020 to July 4, 2023.
On July 30, 2023 he was announced as National General Secretary for BJP, and on August 4, 2023 he took up the post.
He was appointed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs on June 9, 2024.

1.Organizing Navaratri Utsav along with Dandiya night at Shri Mahashakti Temple during Dussehra annually for the past 14 years, promoting cultural heritage and community bonding.
2.Conducting the Hindu Ekta Yatra on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti every year for the past 10 years, fostering unity and Promoting Dharmic Values.
3.Organizing Ganesh Navratri Utsav annually for the past 30 years, celebrating faith and bringing people together.
4.Organizing Sriram Navami celebrations for the past 10+ years, highlighting the significance of Lord Rama's legacy and inspiring devotion.
5.Hosting Holi celebrations for many years, fostering community unity and spreading joy and colour.
