This Division is responsible for handling all administrative matters & allocation of work among various Divisions of the Ministry, monitoring of furnishing information under the Right to Information Act, 2005, Secretariat Security Organisation matters and Parliamentary Matters. The Division also deals with :
- Establishment matter of Ministry of Home Affairs (Proper) as well as Department of Official Language.
- The Secretariat Security Organisation looks after Government Building Security, the receptions in Government buildings as well as the issue of passes for regulation of entry into Government buildings.
- The Official Language Section(Hindi Anubhag) in the Division looks after the work relating to Implementation of official language Act in the MHA and its attched and Subordinate Offices, work of translation from English to Hindi and Vice-Versa, organising the meetings of the Hindi Salahkar Samiti administratering Various schemes for promotion of the use of Hindi in the Ministry.
